Any experienced farmer will tell you that before they venture into any planting , they have to take time to prepare for the planting they are going to do. A number of things for consideration include and are not limited to; what they are going to plant, where they will plant, the requirements for the plants they want to plant ,the amount of time it takes for the plants to bear fruit, the quantity of fruit they are hoping to harvest, and the purpose of the harvest; is it for sale, or for home consumption et cetera.. Pre – planting planning is as important as the actual planting.
With the end in mind of what the farmer hopes to harvest, planning can start on how to achieve the kind of harvest expected. What does He need to plant in order to get the kind of harvest He expects? Different plants bear different fruit requiring different and diverse planning and caring techniques in order to bear a good harvest. A tomato farmer’s considerations for a bountiful tomato harvest are different from the cassava farmer’s considerations.
God in foresight of what He expected us to do while on earth created us perfectly in every way to carry out different purposes in bringing His kingdom Here on earth. No two people are the same; this is evidenced by the fact everyone has a unique thumbprint. Even the most identical twins have different thumbprints. God , like the wise Farmer knows the kind of harvest he expects from each of us , and thus plans and prepares us for those tasks uniquely. Our preparation journey is unique to the task He has prepared for each one of us.
Ephesians 2 :10; For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them.
Being His workmanship and handiwork, we can then embrace our uniqueness in individuality, in preparation for the good works on life’s journey. From these ‘uniquenesses’, we get to experience God in ways we never imagined possible. We can then appreciate our uniqueness and actually live to thrive in it to bear good fruit; long lasting fruit.
Prayer:
Abba Father, i pray that you may reveal to us the unique purpose for which you created each of us. Help us to embrace our uniqueness and that of others around us that we may see you at work revealing yourself to us through them.In Jesus name, Amen.
